REPORT ON VISIT TO MAXIMUM PRISON IGBEBA IJEBU-ODE ON 25TH JULY, 2019

Twenty students departed from the school at exactly 11:30 a.m. for an educational visitation to the maximum prison, Igbeba, Ijebu-ode.

The selection of the students was made across the classes from JS1 to SS2. Special consideration was made on some students whose characters need to be transformed.

A warm welcome was given to the students by the welfare officer of the prison, who first addressed the students in her office. They were later directed to the lecture room for an hour lecture on topic related to crimes, prison inmates and anti-social behaviours in the society. The section made the students to be exposed to minor and major offences that can lead a person to the prison and the acceptable behaviours of the youths.

The students asked questions on the topics and related well with the instructors.

The students returned to school at exactly 2:00 p.m.
