Languages and Humanities

The Languages and Humanities Department is the hub of the College as it projects the College in many positive ways. The Department is in charge of teaching the basic language skills: Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing. Through these skills, students realize their creative and artistic potentials in a serene environment that stimulates self-reliance, dexterity and academic excellence.

Through this department, the College has won many laurels at several competitions both within the state and at the National level which include: The Best School in Debate Award (2017) organized by Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN, Ijebu District), 3rd Best School in International Children’s Day Award organized by Justice, Development and Peace Commission (JDPC), Ijebu Chapter (2017), 2nd Best in Ijebu Schools Debate Competitions (2019), 1st Best School for 2017 and 2018 in International Geography Olympiad Award at the Regional level and emerged 2ND Best at the National level for year 2017 which was organised by the Association of Nigerian Geographers.

As the name ‘Humanities’ implies, the Department projects the quality of being ‘humane’ and encourages students to exhibit self-esteem while seeing themselves as integral  and important members of the society at large.
